Travel Nursing in Canada
So How do you Become a Travel Nurse?
First of all, why hire a travel
nurse versus hiring someone permanent? Great question. I think one of the
reasons for this is, the process of hiring a new employee takes time and it costs a lot of money to
train and orientate a new nurse.
Whereas, when hiring a travel nurse, the
hospital in need (generally from a rural area, but not always the case) contacts a travel nursing agency, and then the agency contacts you......and then voila!
Basically in a nutshell, you sign a contract, hop on plane, they take care of your accommodations, and pay you an above average life changing wage! You get to explore Canada, and all of your expenses are paid.
